Extraordinary bottom fishing charter trips
Different species of fish find their home based on the nature of the contour and structure of the Gulf's bottom and other factors. We have been fishing the Gulf of Mexico's Emerald Coast for many years - recording trips, catches, and other factors that help us find success for our loyal fishermen.
Fish species that can be found on the Gulf's bottom
Coral Reefs - It is common to catch just about every species of gulf fish over coral reefs.
Sandstone Ledges - Grouper is commonly found under sandstone ledges, along with sharks. Triggerfish, Snapper, and Flounder are also abundant fish species we target along our sandstone ledge numbers.
Wrecks - King Mackerel, Cobia (Ling), Goliath Grouper, Red Snapper, Amberjack, and Permit love to inhabit wrecks. Panama City Beach is home to literally hundreds of wrecks that have been placed over the years.
Holes - All types of Grouper find holes as one of their favorite places to hide and wait for their next meal. Our fish recorders are ideal, being sensitive enough to find these holes in the gulf bottom.
Rocky Bottoms - We find a lot of Red, Black, and Gag Grouper on rocky bottoms that hold a lot of bait fish - which may inhabit all levels of depth.
